Ubuntu free Operating System
This is my second week now using Ubuntu , i finally decided to switch to that free Operating System
Who doesn’t like Free Stuff ?
I went on the Ubuntu Site and Ordered the Free Cd’s , 4 weeks later i got the 2 cd’s by mail .
The Ubuntu Desktop and the Ubuntu Server Edition .
I then FORMATED MY pc and got rid off VISTA forever … just hate that OS.
The Installation went perfect , and everything was Working out of the box , just amazing .
I had to refresh my memory because last time i used Linux was during my BS. in Computer Sc. at the University of Montreal … GREAT memories !
Skype installation went smooth and also installed LAMP without the L (Apache , MySQL and php) for testing issues .
Now i could do whatever i want , since i have 2 laptops (xp pro and Ubuntu) , now i can try any program i wanted (except for Mac stuff…)
I recommend that you go to the Ubuntu site and download the OS … or just order it if your connection bandwidth is limited .
You have nothing to loose , you can run the OS even without formatting your PC, you could even run the OS from your CD-ROOM !
PS) Did you know that when you buy a new PC from a store you pay for the windows licence at least 200-300$ And that if you do not accept the Term of Usage you could call the company and ask for a refund for the Windows System that you are not using ? now you know !!

Just now I read your posting. I would also like to try that UBUNTO because i am fed up of these Windows OS .. it sucks ! I have tried Ordering for a Free CD now and I was not able to . Could you please let me know which is the link you were using ?
