I BOUGHT ONE OF THESE MODEL (AH 64 APACHE - VERY SAME MODEL PER THE PICTURE SHOWN) FROM NITROMODELS INC. ABOUT 2 OR 3 MONTHS AGO. AFTER A VERY LONG WAIT, I RECEIVED THE PACKAGE AND TO MY DISAPPOINTMENT, THEY PRACTICALLY SENT ME THE WRONG BRAND AND WRONG TRANSMITTER (4 CHANNEL RATHER THAN THE 6 CHANNEL THAT THEY ADVERTISE. AND A SUPPOSEDLY A COLCO BRAND HELI, GOD KNOWS WHAT THEY SENT ME SINCE THE BRAND DOESN'T EVEN LIST ON THE BOX). ANYHOW, AFTER RECEIVING MY ORDER (WHICH COST ME OVER $ 140.00 CANADIAN), I FIND OUT THAT THE BATTERY THEY SENT ME WASN'T RETAINING CHARGE. SO I CALLED THEM TO COMPLAIN, SPOKE WITH A GUY NAME ERIC AND I COMPLAINED ABOUT THE WRONG ITEMS THAT I RECEIVED AND THE DOA BATTERY. HE SENT ME A BATTERY REPLACEMENT AND A CHARGER.
AFTER A WEEK OR TWO, I RECEIVED THE REPLACEMENT BATTERY/CHARGER. SO I CHARGE THE BATTERY ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN TO ME. SO, WHEN I MADE A CONNECTION WITH A GOOD CHARGE BATTERY, THE ONLY THING THE HELICOPTER DID WAS TO SPIN IT'S BLADE. NO LIGHTS EVER APPEARS FROM THE HELICOPTER LED SO THERE'S NO WAY I CAN EVER CONTROL IT USING THE TRANSMITTER - IN FACT IT DOESN'T EVEN GET AIRBORNE. I KNOW I READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND FOLLOWED THE STEPS TO THE TEE BEFORE TRYING TO FLY IT(TURN ON THE TRANSMITTER, MOVE THE THROTTLE WAY BACK AND THE TRIM ONE NOTCH FROM THE MIDDLE TOWARDS THE RIGHT...) . ANYWAY TO MAKE THIS STORY SHORT, I EMAILED A LONG COMPLAIN TO NITRO INC. I TOLD THEM I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED BY THIS PRODUCT AND I ASKED THEM TO REPLACE IT WITH ANOTHER MODEL INSTEAD...THAT I WOULD BE WILLING TO PAY FOR THE DIFFERENCE. I ALSO ADDED THAT IF THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO GO WITH AN EXCHANGE, TO RETURN MY MONEY. THIS REQUEST WAS LIKE 3 WEEKS AGO, THEY REPLIED BACK THAT SOMEONE WOULD BE CALLING ME. SO FAR, I'VE YET TO RECEIVE A CALL FROM NITRO.

IN SUMMARY, I DON'T RECOMMEND ANYONE FROM BUYING THIS MODEL. I PAID $ 79.00 U.S. PLUS THE TRAINING KIT AND THE FLIGHT SIMULATOR FOR A GRAND TOTAL OF ABOUT $ 130.00 U.S. FUNDS. WHAT A WASTE OF MY TIME AND MONEY...I HOPE NITROPLANES READS THIS. VERY POOR PRODUCT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Shortly after my last posting today I went back to try again to see if there was something I missed in the instructions. The instructions read like they were written by a 3 year old. While testing the copter in-doors and being careful not to let it hit anything the counter rotation gear drive for the main rotor upper and lower blades stripped and the upper and lower blades crashed into each other causing the lower blades plastic mounting block to break and one of the lower blades to go flying off. Fortunately the copter was only 2 inches off the ground so no one was hit by the flying blade. The total flight time on this product was approx. 3 minutes and it will now never fly again due to poor design and build. I took my AA batteries out of the remote and super glued the rotor blade mount back together. Super glue will never hold the blade on with the centrifical force it is subjected to in flight so the copter is now hanging from a string in my garage as any other static model of an aircraft would be displayed. I received it as a gift and the store would probably just say I broke it playing with it anyway so whats the point trying to return it. In my opinion this is another EXTREAMLY poorly made product from China and you should not waste your money. If you are looking for something like this maybe you should spend a little more and get a better made product. I have seen RC copters on the internet for $99 to $150 that are shown in controlled flight on YOU TUBE and appear far better than this and it appears you can get replacement parts. There is one YOU TUBE video I found on this copter of some kids in the snow launching it from a piece of card board, if you notice it never lands back on the card board, my guess is they can't control it except for up and down with the throttle just as I experienced. Once you hit the throttle it goes where it wants and breaks.

I just got one and I can't control it going left, right, forward, or reverse. It does not seem to have any tilt controls at all in the rotor head and no working tail rotor. The only control is the throttle, it lifts off and goes where ever it wants. As far as I can tell any advertising that this is a fully working controlable RC helicopter is a fake.
