What are RSS and Atom feeds?

Many websites use RSS (Really Simple Syndication) and Atom feeds to send updated headlines to their users via services similar to Web Clips.

All sorts of web sites and publishers produce feeds – newspapers often publish feeds of daily headlines or breaking news stories, magazines might publish feeds about top stories, and other sites use feeds to alert customers to new products, upcoming events, or other important information

Problem with RSS Feed in WordPress.

I have a subdomain that I installed wordpress for another blog site, but the subdomain site's rss feed points to my parent site.
Can anyone come up with any suggestions?
